The Land Rover Defender is entering the 2013 model year in Europe with three additional options and a two fresh exterior body colors named Barolo Black and Havana.
The first option is a choice of four new contrast roof colors set against the majority of the Defender paint palette. Along with the standard Fuji White, Defender customers can now opt for Santorini Black, Indus Silver, Orkney Grey or Firenze Red.
As an example, Land Rover tells us that the Firenze Red body color can be chosen with the Santorini Black roof and the Baltic Blue with Indus Silver.
The second addition to the options list is a new body-hugging seat design, partially dressed in leather with the Land Rover logo on the backrest, that is available for the driver and front passenger.
The third and final new option is an upgrade for the base audio system that adds Bluetooth connectivity with remote microphone and Alpine-branded Hi Line 150W low profile subwoofer system with 10cm coaxial speakers.
The Defender continues to be offered with the same 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel delivering 120hp (122PS) for a 0-60mph (96km/h) time of 14.7 seconds and a top speed of 90mph (145km/h) as the 2012MY. According to Land Rover, CO2 emissions on the combined cycle are 266g/km for the Defender 90 and 295g/km for the 110 and 130.
Land Rover said the 2013 Model Year Defender goes on sale from September 2012 with UK prices starting from £22,350.
