After proving its worth in many markets around the world for eight years, it’s time for the Renault’s Group’s affordable Dacia Logan small sedan to give its place to a new model that will debut alongside a replacement for the hatchback version of the series named Sandero at this month’s Paris Motor Show.
While retaining the simplicity and affordability that have made the Logan and its five-door sibling popular on the lower end of the market, the French group has upped the game a notch higher by giving both models a more distinct and modern look inside and out compared to their predecessors.
The exterior styling for both cars borrows design elements from Dacia’s more recent vehicles such as the Lodgy minivan and Duster SUV.
“One of the main qualities behind the brand’s new styling identity is to give a sense of quality and strength,” said the Romanian brand in a statement.
The interior is common for the Logan and the Ford Fiesta-sized Sandero hatch with certain elements of the dashboard bringing to mind older and current Renault models. Depending on the trim level, you can find chrome instrument bevels and a touchscreen infotainment system.
Dacia says it has improved the equipment features of the car as well as the quality of the interior: “Special attention has been paid to ensuring an immediate impression of quality which is reinforced by the materials selected for the interior and by the more careful fit-and-finish.”
The Romanian automaker said it will provide more information on the new Logan sedan and Sandero hatchback, including exterior dimensions, available engine options and availability, at the Paris Motor Show.
