After telling us that the new Buick Encore has received an EPA certification of 28mpg combined, General Motors has now announced pricing for its Nissan Juke-sized small crossover that will arrive in U.S. showrooms in the first quarter of 2013 starting at $24,950, which includes a $750 destination charge (*).
The Encore is offered exclusively with a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine churning out 138-horsepower (140PS) and 148 lb.-ft. (200Nm) of peak torque. All-wheel drive is available on all models for $1,500.
There are four trim levels available with the base $24,950 model coming with standard QuietTuning with Bose Active Noise Cancellation, 18-inch wheels, a rearview camera and a seven-inch, high-resolution, full-color display radio with IntelliLink connectivity.
The Encore with the Convenience Group is priced at $25,760 adding dual-zone climate control, a 120-volt outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, remote start and fog lights.
Further up the line is the Encore with the Leather Group that costs $27,460 and includes all of the aforementioned features plus leather-trimmed upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, a power passenger seat and driver’s seat memory functions.
Finally, the Encore’s Premium Group is priced at $28,940 and it enhances the car with front and rear park assist, Forward Collision Alert with Lane Departure Warning, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a seven-speaker Bose premium audio system with a subwoofer, a cargo net and area cargo mat.
Among other standalone options available for Convenience, Leather or Premium Encore models are a navigation system ($795), 18-inch chrome-clad wheels ($995), sunroof ($800) and a Bose premium audio system ($595 – standard with the Premium Package).
