It may look like a Pagani (to the untrained eye, at least), and according to the eBay seller, sound like one too, but what you see in these images is a replica of the famed Italian supercar.
The builder of the Pagani Zonda clone says the car is based on a Porsche chassis (we are not told which one) and just like the original model, it is powered by a Mercedes-Benz V12 engine, which in this case, is said to deliver 600-horses towards the rear axle via a Porsche-sourced 6-speed manual transmission.
Upon request, buyers can opt for an automatic transmission and can also choose the exterior paintwork and customize the interior.
Other tidbits from the description include the use of a “Porsche 4-wheel ABS braking system with electronic brake force” and an independent suspension.
The starting bid for the car on eBay (before it was removed) was US$109,000 (€84,000) and the buying price, US$130,000 (€100,000), which is evidently a lot less than the Zonda S’s US$500,000 price tag (other versions of the Zonda are more expensive) but still hard to swallow for a replica.
