Aside from selling cars, BMW also wants a piece of the aftermarket industry’s pie, and for this reason, it is constantly adding new goods to its newly formed M Performance sub-brand.

The 2012 Paris Motor Show sees the very first presentation of numerous products from this program designed specifically for the new 3-Series that are demonstrated on a 335i sedan.

The comprehensive range of accessories includes both cosmetic upgrades for the exterior and interior, and parts that improve engine performance and handling.

The equipment features of the most powerful petrol engine variant of the 3-Series sedan (at least until the presentation of the M3) that is on show in Paris, include 20-inch M Performance light alloy wheels, M Performance brake system, M Performance suspension and M Performance aerodynamic package based on the M Sports package.

Added components include a rear spoiler, exterior mirror caps in carbon and a radiator grille in high-gloss black, all of which are sourced from the BMW M Performance accessories program.

Inside, you will find a BMW M Performance steering wheel with Race Display, decorative strips in Alcantara with open-pore carbon, M Performance stainless steel pedals and a gearshift lever knob and handbrake handle with Alcantara gaiter.

BMW also offers an M Performance silencer system for the 335i, along with a new engine kit for the 320d diesel that lifts output from 181Hp (184PS) and 379Nm (280 lb-ft) to 197Hp (200PS) and 420Nm (310 lb-ft) respectively cutting the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint time by about 1 second.
