One of the most eagerly anticipated new Mercedes-Benz models is the CLA, which is the toned down, production version of the Concept Style Coupé (CSC) presented to the world this past spring.
In the months following the debut of the concept, we saw several prototype models including the performance orientated CLA 45 AMG variant, but all of them were heavily disguised.
In a sign that Mercedes-Benz is nearing towards the end of the car’s development phase, a YouTube user in Germany stumbled upon and filmed a CLA with considerably less camouflage while driving on a local highway.
We already knew that the CLA wouldn’t be as impressive as the original concept, but that doesn’t mean it won’t stand out in the brand’s range and especially when compared to the more somber and similarly sized C-Class sedan.
Under the skin, you will find an lengthened version of the A-Class’ modular platform and more or less, the same engine lineup that will vary from region to region
Look for the CLA in Mercedes-Benz dealerships sometime in 2013.
