After conquering the hearts of many Asian and even more Russian drivers, dashboard mounted cameras are slowly starting to gain popularity in the United States.

While not as near as wild as some incidents in Russia, you could say that this video provides a taster of what’s to come if more Americans start fitting their vehicles with cameras.

The clip was shot on California’s Interstate 405 and involves two drivers bickering on the road.

The driver behind the black Toyota Prius is YouTube user Kyrad777, who had this to say about the incident:

“A guy in a Prius that wont allow anyone to pass him. And if you do, you will suffer the concequences! He will drive really slow and then gun it to keep you from passing. Be carefull if you encounter him. He will defend his Prius Honor! In case it isnt obvious, the display is in KMH, not MPH…”

And no, you’re not the only one wondering what kind of car is Kyrad777 driving and couldn’t pass the Prius.

Come on anything you were driving should have been able to pass a Prius,” commented one user on YouTube.

Kyrad777’s response was: “Umm, No. 75% of the cars on the road can’t. I’m driving a Prius in the video, and he couldn’t come close to keeping up with me in the same model car. That was probably making him mad. I did pass him several times. Flooring it doesn’t make a Prius accelerate the fastest. There is a technique that allows 100% power from both the gas engine and the electric motor. The way most people drive they are only using one or the other.”

So there you have it. If you hop over the break, you can watch the “Prius Guys” in action.
