As one of Europe’s finest hot hatches, the Renault Clio RS Mk3 (pre-facelift) feels right at home at the Nürburgring racetrack, so much so that German aftermarket firm Cam Shaft decided to create a tuning package for the French pocket rocket loosely inspired by the ‘Ring taxis.
The first few things you will notice about Cam Shaft’s Clio RS is the matt Graphite Metallic wrap accentuated by green splashes and some cheeky writings such as the “MOVE RIGHT >>” sticker on the windshield and the “International –explicit– Crew” logo on the bottom of the front doors.
More wraps that are unusual can be found inside on the center console and the corner section of the front windows, while the German tuner also removed the rear seat bench and boot area upholstery to insert a roll cage.
The tuned Clio RS rides on the original 17-inch rims that have been powder-coated in green and covered with semi-slick 215/45 tires from Kumho.
The car also gets a coil-over suspension by H&R and the larger front braking system from the Renault Megane R26R Mk2, while the 2.0-liter naturally aspirated unit receives a reprogrammed ECU and a sports air-filter from K&N to boost output from 197hp (200PS) to 222hp (225PS).
Cam Shaft did not announce prices for the complete tune.
