The Honda Brio will soon welcome a new member in its family in the guise of an as-of-yet, unnamed sedan model that has been teased through a lightly shadowed image on the brand’s Thai website.
Just like the five-door hatchback, the sedan body style of the Brio was designed for emerging Asian markets like India, China and Thailand.
The photo released by Honda suggests that the four-door model likely maintains the same wheelbase as the 3.6-meter long hatch and that it will probably measure less than 4 meters in length.
There are no other official details on the car, though aside from the 1.2-liter i-VTEC petrol engine sourced from the Jazz and offered on the hatchback, it is rumored that the sedan may be available with a new small displacement turbo diesel engine as well, which would be a first for Honda in certain markets in the region such as India.
Besides the sedan model, Honda has confirmed plans to develop a small minivan based on the Brio, and which will also be built at its new manufacturing facility in Jakarta, Indonesia.
