Geishas, samurai swords, Shinto temples and the latest high tech gadgets are only a small part of the things you get to see when you visit Japan. Jay Leno may have indulged in all of the above and then some more during his recent trip to the land of the Rising Sun, yet his main interest is cars.
Having already visited Toyota City, where he sampled both the world’s only Lexus LFA Spyder and one of two existing 1966 Toyota 2000 GT convertibles ever made, specifically for a 007 flick, Leno couldn’t resist to go to a midnight meeting of Nissan GT-R owners in Tokyo.
Along with Road & Track Editor Sam Mitani, who introduced him to the GT-R scene, Leno also had the chance to drive what its owners like to call “the pride of Japan” on Tokyo’s streets at night.
