What would you do if Lamborghini handed you the keys of an orange Aventador for a week? Motor Trend’s Frank Marcus chose to take the 691HP supercar to a trip across Europe.
Marcus had already chosen his route. First, he drove to Monaco and then he climbed the Alps, where he passed through some of the roads used by the Tour de France bicycle race and reached one of Europe’s highest paved roads, at 2,802m.
It’s rare to meet a car fan who isn’t aware that Ferrucio Lamborghini admired bullfighting so much that not only did he make a charging bull his company’s badge, but he also named his models after famous fighting bulls.
For example, the previous Lamborghini V12 model, the Murcielago, was named after a bull so brave that he was spared his life. Another one of his breed, named Aventador, wasn’t so lucky, as he met his maker in October of 1993.
Therefore, Marcus thought it fitting to take the carbon fiber supercar to the place where its flesh and blood namesake perished.
