Here’s some fresh spy footage of the of the next generation of Skoda’s Octavia compact model, captured only a few days after another YouTube user posted a video of a black prototype with hardly any camouflage.
The silver-colored example seen in this clip offers us an even better look at the Czech carmaker’s upcoming notchback model, though keep in mind that the front and rear lights may be covered in phony decals, a practice commonly used lately by the VW Group.
The new Octavia will share its MQB platform architecture and most petrol and diesel engines with the new Audi A3, Seat Leon and Volkswagen Golf hatchbacks.
Thanks to the addition of the Rapid in Skoda’s lineup, the new Octavia will grow in size offering more space for passengers and their luggage, while also moving more upmarket.
The 2013 Octavia III is expected to be introduced online in November, with its world premiere to take place at next year’s Geneva Motor Show in March.
