Jaguar’s upcoming XFR-S high-performance saloon is fast and powerful and it has no problem showing off its prowess.
Unlike the tamer-looking XFR that gets by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 rated for 503hp (510PS), the flagship “S” model will flaunt its muscle through an aggressive body kit, which as these fresh spy pictures reveal for the very first time, will include an eye-catching rear wing of the sort you usually find on EVOs and STIs and not on Jaguar models…
Seen here in more or less finished production specification, the XFR-S adopts a newly styled front bumper with more muscular lines and larger lower grilles, while the car rides on new alloy wheels shod in low profile performance tires.
It also appears to wear beefier side skirts and has done away with the chrome trims that are now painted in black, while obtaining larger brake discs with red calipers.
The interior should receive some pampering from Jaguar’s designers as well, with different seats, colors and trims.
Under the bonnet, the XFR-S will borrow the modified 5.0-liter supercharged V8 found in the XKR-S coupe that generates an additional 40-horsepower and 70Nm of peak torque for a total of 542hp (550PS) and 680Nm (501 lb-ft), though we could see slightly higher numbers on the sedan model.
The word on the street is that Jaguar is finishing up the development of the XFR-S, which could be revealed as early as this year.
