A new variant has been added to the Skoda Superb’s lineup in Britain. The new Outdoor is based on the Superb Estate adding an off-road appearance package to the menu but nothing else more, as it keeps the same suspension settings and ride height as the regular model.
The exterior of the station wagon is toughened up through the use of plastic moldings all around and newly styled bumpers with aluminum finish accents, while the Outdoor rides on a new set of n 18-inch “Luxon” alloy wheels as standard.
In terms of equipment, the Outdoor is based on the SE trim adding several features, including a four-spoke leather multi-function steering wheel, Bluetooth for hands-free connectivity, Sunset Glass behind the B-pillar, Hill-Hold Control, Tyre Pressure Monitor, heated windscreen washer nozzles and integrated front headlight washers.
In the UK, it is offered exclusively with all-wheel drive and the option of three powertrains, a 158hp (160PS) 1.8-liter TSI petrol and a manual gearbox, a 138hp (140PS) 2.0-liter TDI diesel linked to a DSG dual clutch transmission and a 168hp (170PS) 2.0-liter TDI diesel connected to a stick shift.
On the road prices start at £26,465 with the Superb Outdoor being available for order now.
