Following an announcement and the release of a pair of teaser renderings back in May this year, SpeedART is now ready to launch its tuning program for the third generation of the Porsche Boxster, also known under its factory codename, 981, onto the market.
SpeedART’s SP81-R cosmetic and performance upgrade package offers Boxster owners a variety of customization options starting with two power kits for both the regular and the “S” models.
The stage 1 kit encompasses a custom exhaust system with sport-catalysts and manifolds / headers that can be optionally combined with a sound switch function to add 20hp and 20Nm of peak torque to the 261hp (265PS) Boxster’s 2.7-liter flat-six, and the 311hp (315PS) Boxster S model’s 3.4-liter flat-six.
The second package re-flashes the ECU to boost both engine outputs by another 30hp and 30Nm.
SpeedART notes that it is also preparing a bolt-on-turbo kit that will give the Boxster S another 80-horsepower as well as an even lighter Titanium sport exhaust system for racing enthusiasts that will be available for order “very soon”.
The power improvements can be combined with sport suspensions either for street or race track use along with an airlift suspension option that raises the Boxster’s front end to clear ramps and speed bumps, and a choice of 20- and 21-inch wheels available in various colors.
SpeedART has upgrades for the exterior, including decals and a body kit that consists of a rear wing, a rear diffuser, a front chin spoiler and side panels with carbon fiber applications, as well as for the interior, where it offers a variety of goods to spice up the look of the cabin.
