If you checked out our list with the world premieres of the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, you already know that Chevrolet Spark EV is among them, but today, General Motors made it official.

The plug-in electric version of the Spark city car will be introduced in final production trim in LA before it begins to arrive in dealerships across the U.S. and select global markets in the first half of 2013, with more specific details to be announced.

Chevrolet said it will also showcase “the expanded functionality of an advanced version of MyLink”, the brand’s infotainment system which will be available for the first time on the upcoming 2014 Impala full-size sedan, also due to go on sale next year.

“The Spark EV and next-generation of MyLink demonstrate Chevrolet’s commitment to delivering the advanced technologies that today’s consumers will be eager to adopt and truly value,” said, Chris Perry, vice president of Global Chevrolet Marketing.

Joining these two models at Chevrolet’s LA Auto Show booth will be the Malibu Turbo mid-size sedan, Sonic RS hatch, the revised Traverse crossover and the limited-run  Camaro Hot Wheels Edition that we first saw at the SEMA Show.
