Only a month after Lexus introduced the 2013 model year CT 200h with a revised lineup in Britain, the Japanese carmaker is now enhancing the range with a sixth trim level named “Advanced” that slots in the middle between the SE and Luxury models.

In addition to the features offered on the £23,995 SE, for an extra £500, the Advanced adds a new integrated satellite navigation system, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, a folding function for the electrically adjustable door mirrors, reversing camera, auto-dimming rear-view mirror with integrated parking monitor and metallic paint.

Other model-specific features include the new “Tahara” upholstery that Lexus says is an “attractive alternative to leather”, weighing half as much and generating 65 per cent less CO2 to produce than regular leather.

The CT 200h Advance is available to order now at a price of £24,495, with first customer deliveries to arrive before the end of this year.
