Back in the 1990s, the press liked to call the Acura / Honda NSX the world’s first, and at the time, only everyday supercar, which may hold true if you compare it with a Ferrari 348 and take into account only performance and reliability, but was it really a true everyday supercar?

Well, if you prefer to drive with one passenger alone and only during good weather, then the answer is yes, but if you want to fit more people inside and use the car under adverse weather conditions, then the NSX will no doubt disappoint.

But that was then and now with the NSX long gone, Japan’s answer to this problem goes by the name Nissan GT-R, which thanks to its technologically advanced all-wheel drive system, four seats and supercar-levels of performance, gives a new meaning to the term everyday supercars.

Just how good the GT-R can be in extreme conditions can be seen in this video from a member of the Swedish crew “Team Ice_Ricers” who had now problem whatsoever getting his car out of the snow and under freezing temperatures some 100km (~60 miles) south of the Arctic Circle.
