Qoros is the latest Chinese carmaker to attempt to crack the difficult European market with its first ever production model that will be revealed in a world premiere at next year’s Geneva Motor Show.

We still don’t know the name of the car, but Qoros has already told us that it will be a compact sedan model in the likes of the Volkswagen Jetta and Ford Focus.

Today, the carmaker afforded us our first view of the C-segment model through a set of sketches, while also announcing that it will be joined in Geneva by two never before seen concept cars that give a glimpse into the company’s future product plans.

One of the people responsible for shaping the styling of Qoros’ new models is former Mini design boss Gert Volker Hildebrand, who is the brand’s Executive Director of Design.

Hildebrand stated that the three Qoros vehicles will be distinguished by “desirable elegance”.

“Designing cars is one of the very best jobs in the world. But very few designers have the chance to design the badge first, and then go on to reflect a completely new vision and dream by designing a brand’s first family of cars,” said Hildebrand. “This is an exceptional opportunity, and I don’t believe there is anything more exciting for a designer.”

Qoros, which recently won a court judgment against Kia in Europe for the use of the Quoros name on its new flagship RWD sedan, said the new sedan model will go on sale in its home market of China and Europe from the end of next year.
