Oh, the glory and fame…Who would have imagined a decade or so ago that a Hyundai would be the car of choice for one of the top figures of our world.
Of course, being South Korean may have had something to do with the fact that the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) Ban Ki-moon will now ride in a spanking new, bulletproof 2013 Hyundai Equus Limousine.
Hyundai handed over the specially prepped version of its flagship limousine to Kofi Annan’s successor at the UN Headquarters in New York on Monday.
Just like the regular wheelbase model, the stretch limousine version of the Equus was recently subjected to a facelift in South Korea with some subtle cosmetic changes applied to the exterior (elimination of the chrome trim strips, new wheels and LED tail lamps) as well as the interior (redesigned dashboard and added features).
