Among the many events that took place in 1996, Democratic incumbent Bill Clinton won his second term as President of the United States; Dolly the sheep, the first mammal to be successfully cloned from an adult cell, was born, while the British Government formally announced that Bovine spongiform encephalopathy had likely been transmitted to people.
It was also the year that this silver-colored Corvette C4 Convertible was brought into life and handed over to its new owner.
What happened over the next 17 years remains a mystery, but the Detroit sports car was rarely used during this period having covered a mere 622 miles or about 1,000 kilometers.
Now, it could be yours as the 1996 Corvette’s current owner has listed the car for sale on eBay. Last we checked, the highest bid stood at $28,600, but the reserve was not met, which means the seller may list the car again if it doesn’t sell. In the meantime, head over the break to read the description and see the photos.
