Skoda is broadening the range of its Citigo mini in Britain with the introduction of a new Sport trim grade that adds some styling flair and lowered suspension to the VW Up!’s Czech cousin, while keeping the regular model’s 59hp (60PS) 1.0-liter MPI petrol engine mated to a five-gear manual gearbox.
What Skoda means by ‘Sport’ is a new styling kit for the exterior that bring a front apron, a roof spoiler and a rear diffusor, along with 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, contrasting racing stripes, tinted windows and a more aggressive stance thanks to a the sports suspension that lowers the ride height by 15mm (0.6 inches).
The interior of the city car is spiced up with bespoke black and red sports seats, a three-spoke leather steering wheel with red stitching, leather handbrake and gearstick gaiter with red stitching and matching floor mats, plus two-tone grey and black dashboard and unique grey décor instruments.
A dashboard-mounted Personal Infotainment Device (PID) featuring a five-inch touch-screen comes as standard.
The Citigo Sport is available in three colour themes; Candy White with red stripes, Tornado Red with black stripes and Deep Black with red stripes, with OTR pricing set at £10,290 for the 3-door model and £10,640 for the 5-door edition.
