VW Group tuning specialist ABT Sportsline is wasting no time preparing a performance package for the all-new, seventh generation Volkswagen Golf GTI.
As well as showing off its first upgrades for the regular Golf and several Audi models at the Swiss show, the German tuner also announced its upcoming goods for the GTI and released a pair of renderings to provide us with a visual of the car.
ABT says preliminary testing shows its performance kit boosts the regular GTI’s output from 217hp (220PS) to 266hp (270PS), while the company added that it is also working to improve the 227hp (230PS) Golf GTI Performance edition.
The program will be complemented by a set of sport springs, and new alloy wheels in 18-inch and 19-inch diameters, along with a cosmetics package comprising red accent decals, front apron, grille, headlamp and mirror cap trims, side skirts and a rear apron together with a quad pipe exhaust system.
ABT said full details will be released later this year.
