Consumer Reports is one of the most trusted (and trust-worthy) automotive reviews sites. They pride themselves with actually being able to test a car in detail, not by borrowing it (not that there’s nothing wrong with that), but by buying it. So, if you want buying advice, CR is a good place to start your inquiries.
Now, the publication’s automotive testers have aired the pilot episode for a new chat show, called ‘Cars’, where viewers phone in and ask for advice. The three hosts then begin asking questions themselves, before both them and the caller agree on a course of action.
We say the idea behind the show is not bad, and we are not alone, because the list of user comments about the show seem to be very positive. Still, the internet can be a deceiving place and there may not be enough positive feedback to prompt them on to continue with it.
Be warned, though, that the video, which is linked below, is more than 36 minutes long. Still, it is funny to see the cogs begin to turn in the hosts’ heads as the callers describe their car-buying dilemma – they simply stare into nothingness, trying to search the database for competent advice.
