Adding to these are new technologies offered as standard such as Pandora internet radio interface, an SMS text messaging function, a Keyless Access System with pushbutton start, an Active Noise Control system and a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera system.

The Technology Package, available for a premium of $3,700, brings even more high-tech appointments. There’s the AcuraLink Satellite Communication System, Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition, a hard disk drive with 60 GB of storage capacity, AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic with Traffic Rerouting, AcuraLink Real-Time Weather, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, Acura/ELS Surround Premium Sound System, a power-actuated rear tailgate, projector beam headlights with Bi-Xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) bulbs and front fog lights.

For 2014, the RDX is available with a new Kona Coffee exterior paint, replacing the previous Amber Brownstone. There are no other changes for the new model year. The 2014 RDX is produced at Honda’s East Liberty, Ohio plant.
