Brits and America’s most famous pony car, the Mustang, don’t seem to be getting along these days.
After a fifth-generation, Ford Mustang killed some trees during the Big Breakfast car meeting in Malton, England, this past Sunday, today we were tipped off about a second incident that took place at the “Wheels Day 2013” event in English county of Hampshire on Friday, March 29.
Once again, it involved a fifth-generation Mustang and a driver who wanted to do a burnout of sorts, but this time, he didn’t crash, instead he (seemingly) blew out his clutch and possibly damaged a few more expensive mechanical components in the process, to the…cruel delight of the crowd.
Naturally, commentators are having a blast with the incident on YouTube. ‘Tungsten23’ wrote: “And this is why Brits stereotype American cars. That driver was a royal dumbass.”
Some other viewers, like ‘Mike Z.’ were more restrained in their commentary: “At least he has a nice looking car. Big deal, you have a hooked up car you’re bound to have to work on it some. You people act like this stuff don’t happen. You must all drive grocery getters. Now don’t get me wrong, the guys a tool but if it isn’t back up and running now, it will be soon. And you’ll still be driving your mini coopers.”
In another comment, ‘Matt Smith’ wrote:” So what he broke his car, didn’t hurt anybody. If anybody should be getting shot down for cuntery it’s the bloke in the 70s Camaro. He nearly causes a crash with an oncoming car.” [Ed. Note: see Video below].
