A new video that surfaced on YouTube on Monday shows how a simple fender bender can reveal the road-rage-driven beast hiding inside one man, and the remarkably calm demeanor in another.

From what we understand, a civilian driver with a disabled female Marine passenger, rear-ended another car driven by a Marine Corps sergeant (Sgt) in California, near the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.

We don’t know if something preceded the accident, but after it occurred and the Sgt exited his car, all hell broke loose. Screaming at the top of his lungs, the Sgt insulted both the driver and the passenger, while also kicking the door as he wanted the driver to come out of his car so he could “beat” his “f[explicit] ass”.

What was the other driver’s reaction? Well, have you ever heard of the idiom “nerves of steel”? No doubt, this is it…

The person who uploaded the video on YouTube under the handle “USMC2000100”, which evidently refers to the United States Marine Corps (USMC), described the incident thusly:

“After forcing the truck to hit his car because of slamming on his brakes numerous times, the truck hits his car. Minor scratches to his car, the truck needs a new bumper and grill. Road rage much? He purposely forced an accident and gets out of his car and starts doing this. A real motivated Sgt disrespecting a fellow Marine who is in a wheelchair and the driver who is a civilian. At the End of the video you see him place his hands on the trunk, well that is because the MP’s pulled up and arrested him.”

Most commentators on YouTube supported the driver, like “Andy Poletti”, who wrote:

“For your information the passenger who is being called a “Wookie” has done more in her time in the service than any of you fucks have in yours, She has become disabled while serving in the Corps. The “Dude” in the drivers seat is a Civilian who drives her everywhere she needs and is her brother who put his life on hold so he could help his sister. And it is the Road Rage Marines fault that he was brake checking them to begin with. And he did the right thing staying in the car.”

However, at least one viewer thought that uploading the video was a mistake. YouTube commentator “MotoMarine1341” noted:

“Hey, USMC2000100 why would you even post this video on a media site, to make Marines look even worse? Sure the Sergeant went off, I would of went off, especially if some bitch ass civilian rear ended my vehicle. The sergeant went overboard with it, but hell he’s a grunt. What you should of done, silly Wookie, is keep the video off the internet before people download it and republish it to other websites. This video is the opposite of how we want the Marine Corps to stand out.”

You can watch the video and judge for yourself right below the break. Just keep in mind that there’s a whole lot of swearing going on….
