Recently introduced at the 2013 New York International Auto Show, the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS has been given a walk-around-style presentation by the carmaker’s marketing manager for performance cars, John Fitzpatrick.
What we find out from this video is that Chevrolet wanted to differentiate the V8 from V6 models with the restyled Camaro, so the SS received some styling tweaks inspired from the ZL1, including the hood extractor and the lower grille.
Of course, the most evident changes involve the headlights and taillights. Fitzpatrick says the shape of the new headlamps allows the addition of a functional fog lamp on the SS with the RS package. Speaking of the RS package, this option brings LED taillights instead of incandescent ones fitted on lower models.
As for the interior, the most important addition is the optional Recaro sport seats for the Camaro ZL1 and SS models. You can watch the video with John Fitzpatrick below.
