In its current form, the Nissan GT-R has been in the market for six years, but amazingly, it’s still the king of performance when you weigh in the cost of acquiring the Japanese model that starts from just under $100,000 in the States.
With very few exceptions, that concern select and tremendously more expensive exotic hypercars – think the $2.8 million Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, it has come out as a winner in most speed-related competitions.
Heck, it’s so fast with a 2.7 second time for the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint that Nissan has no problem putting it up against….a jet fighter to demonstrate its capabilities.
This particular comparison test was organized by Nissan Germany and is featured in the latest issue of “N_Magazine”, which is a publication for the Japanese brand’s customers.
The race between the 545hp (550PS) 2013 Nissan GT-R (2014MY in North America) and the Hawker Hunter with 22,000 jet-fueled-horses took place in Sweden Switzerland and you can watch it in the video below.
For those of you without much tolerance for talking, you can fast-forward the video to the 4:10 minute-mark to see the race.
