Lifting a page from luxury carmakers like BMW that offer free service for their cars (50,000 miles / 80,000km or 4 years, whichever comes first), Kia announced on Thursday a complimentary scheduled maintenance program for its new Cadenza mid-size sedan.
The Korean carmaker’s free service program covers the first five factory-scheduled appointments and is valid for 36 months (3 years) or 37,500 miles (60,400km).
“The Cadenza competes in a class in which customers have higher expectations for their ownership experience. Our complimentary scheduled maintenance program – a benefit many would not have previously associated with the Kia brand – fulfills those expectations,” stated John Crowe, vice president of service and after sale operations for Kia Motors America.
The 2014 Cadenza is offered in the States with a 3.3-liter V6 gasoline engine rated for 293hp and 255 lb-ft, paired to a standard six-speed automatic driving the front wheels, with prices starting from $35,100, excluding an $800 destination fee.
