We recently showed you MotorTrend’s review of the Nissan GT-R with the optional Track Pack fitted, and the conclusions at the end of that test were pretty clear – it is a very serious “supercar killer,” which is immensely competent, but a bit detached and not that fun to drive at regular speeds, needing to be pushed hard to get enjoyment.
Audi’s R8 V10 is nothing like that, being a much more refined and usable car, but it is similar to the GT-R through its all-wheel drive system and high power V10 mill, so it would make for an interesting comparison.
MT’s latest video pits the two cars (the R8 in V10 Plus spec) against one another on the road and on the track, drawing… predictable conclusions. Still, the video posted after the virtual jump is very fun to watch, and really puts the two cars into perspective nicely. It all comes down to what you want and how much you’re willing to pay for the privilege of driving your vehicle of choice.
