Volkswagen has always tried to sell SEAT as its most sporting mainstream brand, but that hasn’t stopped the other group brand whose name begins with an “S” to inject a little bit of verve into its range with its line of vRS models. Now, Skoda has just revealed the Rapid Sport concept at this year’s GTI Meeting in Wörthersee, Austria.

Previewed by some stylized renderings, the concept takes a basic Rapid liftback, and turns it into a mean street racer, with a two-tone paint job, 19-inch rims finished in red, a complete body kit and twin exhausts at the back to round off the new look. The recessed hood/bonnet looks especially good with the angular styling and low stance.

According to Skoda, “the sporty layout continues in the interior of the car, for example with a sport-type steering wheel, Recaro seats and illuminated door sills.” No word on what exactly powers it, though.

Regardless, the Rapid Sport is not the only point of interest at the Czech manufacturer’s stand, because there’s more to take in.

The second-most interesting car they’ve revealed is an accessorized 2013 Octavia Combi. According to the Czech carmaker, the new sports package garnishes the estate with “a front grille in a shiny black color as well as a red/black front spoiler. The covers of the outside mirrors and the roof girders are painted in shiny black, the rear diffuser in red and black.” Inside, it gets black sports seats with red contrasting stitching and aluminum pedals.

Also present at the stand are the Citigo Motorsport with a special body kit and 16-inch rims, the Fabia RS Motorsport, a UK-only edition of the compact hatch, and finishing it all off is the Fabia S2000 rally car.
