When it comes to entering a house where a suspect is living and/or hiding from the law, more often than not, you will see SWAT (Special Weapons And Tactics) teams making use of hand-held battering rams.

Once in a while, though, the seriousness of the situation calls for much more drastic measures, as was the recently case in an incident that took place Tuesday morning in Tolleson, Arizona, and which saw SWAT teams using a…truck to repeatedly smash open a house!

The story began on Monday evening when 32-year-old Israel Celis, Sr. reportedly broke into an El Mirage motel room, sexually assaulted the mother of his child at gunpoint, and then kidnapped their young son, taking him to a Phoenix house, where he took the entire family as hostages, according to the police. At the time, there were six adults and three children in the house, including Celis.

Police said that Celis was armed and that he began firing when they decided to ram the home with the SWAT truck. ABC News said Celis shot and killed himself ending the long standoff. Watch the video, courtesy of Fox Phoenix, right after the break.
