After the all-new Mazda3 came to life on the web before its official reveal, it’s time for another Japanese carmaker to have one of its upcoming models pre-maturely released online – or so we believe, as we’re not 100 percent sure yet.
Today, we were tipped off from Shrawan Raja of Indiasautoblog about three screenshots of the next generation Honda Fit sub-compact, which is also marketed as the Jazz in other markets around the world, including Europe, purportedly sourced from an official brochure.
We took our translators out and surfed a number of Japanese websites and forums and discovered the same three photos in higher resolution along with three more additional screenshots.
Our initial impression is that they do look to be the real thing, showing the Hybrid version (evident from the fender badge and the “power-charge” gauge in the instrument panel) of the next Fit in Japanese specification. The regular-powertrain iterations of the new Fit sold in other parts of the world shouldn’t look too different from the Hybrid (think a restyling of the bumpers and alloy wheels).
The North American Fit will be built in Mexico beginning from early next year and will form the base for a compact crossover and a sedan, both of which have been confirmed for production in 2015.
Thanks to Shrawan for the tip!
