The new Peugeot 308 has been met with a generally positive attitude towards the way it looks, and with improved efficiency, levels of technology and the new style. it shows PSA is trying hard to come up with something competitive in the class, for once…The first reviews of the car have yet to be released, but until then we can still get a better look at it via a new video released by L’Automobile Magazine, of France.
They recently did a presentation of the 308, and made a video of themselves taking photos of it for the magazine feature. As always, the press photos Peugeot gave us were clearly not the most revealing, and we wanted to see the car from multiple angles, both inside and out.
This is where this video comes in, and if you also happen to know French, you’ll also catch some clever comments about how Peugeot is really trying hard to take on the Wolfsbourgeoisie (VW group) with this new hatch.
We liked the 208 GTi, when we drove it, so perhaps some of that sporting flavor will have rubbed off on its younger yet bigger brother, which should handle adequately too. It too is getting a GTi version, though we truly hope that Peugeot doesn’t chicken out and not give it the same powerful 1.6-liter unit it has planned for the RCZ-R, which should debut next month.
