It was only a matter of time before the Tesla Model S made its way into European hands, and after first arriving in Germany and the Netherlands, they have now arrived in the hands of the EV-loving Norwegians.
This has allowed Autofil Magazine to take an 85 kWh Model S and drive it from the country’s capital, Oslo, to Geilo, located some 243 km (151 miles) away, without any sort of right pedal restraint – the reviewer would drive it like any other regular car.
One key factor which affected this exercise in a significant way were the concerns regarding the battery’s behavior in harsh weather conditions – the Model S was driven at temperatures of around -6 degrees C (21.2 F), on very snowy roads. This makes this the video you can find below the first cold weather test of Tesla’s sedan, so it’s important and should answer several questions concerning the fears put forth by some brand skeptics…
The language of the video is Norwegian, but the English subtitle is quite accurate does its job. We won’t reveal the figures here, and we suggest you scroll down, click play and start reading the white text at the bottom of the screen.
