Running a red light is all the more dangerous if you’re on a motorcycle. A car will have no trouble displacing the weight of a motorbike or scooter, and either it or you may be thrown far away, especially if you were really gunning for that light, and you end up going a bit too fast through the intersection.
This happened in an unspecified Russian city, where drivers were patiently waiting at the stop light. As they set off, the light is clearly green, so it’s perfectly legal, but then along comes a scooter rider, from the right hand side, traveling quite quickly, with a passenger on the back.
Contact between the scooter and front of the vehicle with the dash mounted camera is quite severe, and both people are launched into the air, hopefully not breaking anything as they land. This time it was not the fault of the car driver, but we don’t know what happens next, because the footage is stopped a few seconds after contact is made.
