The seventh-generation VW Golf is the most technologically advanced Golf ever made, and a look at the car’s optional equipment is enough to acknowledge that.
Adaptive cruise control, dynamic main beam control, lane-keeping assistant, traffic sign detection, Front Assist surroundings monitoring system with City Emergency Braking and Park Assist are some of the more important systems available on the new VW Golf.
Speaking of the City Emergency Braking, it is a system that operates at speeds of up to 30 km/h (19 mph) and its job is to prevent low-speed crashes. The car’s sensors scan the road ahead and the system automatically brakes the car when a collision is imminent and the driver doesn’t react.
It’s a clever system that can help drivers, but it can also work against them, as the following VW commercial shows. The ad features two bank robbers who use a Golf as their getaway car. When their escape road is blocked by a construction site, they decide to go through it – but will the Golf let them? Scroll down to find out.
