There are a few modern manufacturers which claim they make the best car in the world; Rolls Royce, Tesla and Mercedes-Benz come to mind first, and the latter is making the statement directly again via its all-new S-Class, which is not only more high-tech than ever, but also sleeker to look at (some may call it boring, though), more comfortable, faster and more efficient.
So far, we hadn’t seen anyone outside Mercedes verify their claims, but now, through AutoExpress’ video drive of the car, the first one we know of, we get a second close up look at it, this time it motion as well.
We won’t reveal evertyhing said about the car, as the video we posted below serves that purpose, but by the end of the long drive through Canada where the press drive was staged, the conclusion is drawn that given its price and the level of engineering and technology, it is definitely a contender for being the best car in the world.
One piece of criticism for the piece, though, is the lack of a more detailed description of the S-Class’ handling – since they did drive it, perhaps they could have talked more about the way it steers and goes, rather than saying that all of the technologies work as intended, which is to be expected, right?
