Mercedes-Benz surely knows how to make great cars, but when it comes to writing a song, let’s just say we’ve heard much better. You see, the German carmaker has released a song called “Your Best”, dedicated to its service network.
Let’s not get into why Mercedes’ workshops needed an anthem in the first place and focus on the song. We have nothing to reproach the female singer whose voice sounds somewhat similar to Anastacia’s, but as far as the lyrics are concerned, it’s a complete mess.
“I like them to be strong/That they can catch me when I skid/Like them to turn me on/I thought that some of them did”. We’re a bit confused about who’s talking here, the singer or a car? And it goes on: “But just as I needed a helping hand/So many men were ‘out of service’, not like you…” And then the chorus drops: “You only give your best/Won’t stop until I smile/You’re better than the rest/Accept my special style.” Say what?
If you think you can handle more of this stuff, hit play on the video below. Beware: there’s also a long version of the song after that for our bravest readers.
