The stars at Mercedes-Benz are lining up for the reveal of the all-new S63 AMG, the high-performance version of the recently launched S-Class flagship sedan. Even though the video doesn’t disclose the name of the car as it is simply referred to “A New Member of the AMG Family”, it is clear from the portions of the S-Class we’re allowed to see in the video that the new member is the S63 AMG.
The short footage shows the more aggressively styled front bumper featuring larger air intakes and a carbon fiber splitter, plus the rear diffuser also made of carbon fiber and including four square tailpipes – two on each side.
We also have the opportunity to see the V8 Biturbo badge on the front fender and on the digital rev counter of the Mercedes sedan, plus some carbon fiber décor on the dashboard. As a bonus, the video also includes the sweet sound of the V8 engine firing up.
The new S63 AMG is expected to use an upgraded version of the 563hp 5.5-liter engine that powered the previous model, and will likely make its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
