Independence Day, not the film about invading aliens, but the national holiday in the United States commonly known as the Fourth of July, celebrates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

It’s also a day when families and friends get together to break out the grill and bring out the booze, have some summer fun, and enjoy the traditional fireworks and the occasional burnout happenings – for those who like to take their classic American metal out for a ride.

If you live in the States and have plans for today, we hope you enjoy every single moment and remember to stay safe.

As far as Carscoops is concerned, we’re going to take it easy today, but we will bring you some more news and stories before we also head out for the backyard festivities.
