Renault Group’s best-selling vehicle worldwide in the first half of this year, the Duster SUV, has received its first facelift, as we can see from the first two official photos showing the Dacia-branded version of the car.

As many expected, changes are mostly limited to the front end of the car, with the Duster gaining a new face with redesigned headlights and grille that remind of the Renault DCross concept car showcased last year at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil. Although the headlights retain their previous shape, they are now divided in three distinct elements, one of which houses the DRLs (Daytime Running Lights).

The redesigned grille is more imposing than before thanks to the addition of two chrome-plated strips and a new, lower-set air intake. The Duster also gains labeled roof bars with slatted supports, while new 16-inch “Dark Metal” alloy wheels and “Mud and Snow” tyres reinforce its off-road appearance.

At the rear, changes are more subtle and include slightly redesigned taillights, a chrome-plated tail pipe and new “4WD” lettering. Renault hasn’t released any photos of the interior, but significant changes are expected there, including an upgraded dashboard that will include a touchscreen navigation system, plus better quality upholsteries and door linings.

Stay tuned as more details and images of the restyled Duster are expected to surface as we get closer to the Frankfurt Motor Show press days (September 10-11).
