Volkswagen owners have many choices for aftermarket upgrades, but ABT remains of the main and more popular go-to destinations, at least for Europeans. The German firm has now updated its offerings for the latest generation VW Beetle in both hardtop and cabriolet forms.

On the engine front, ABT’s performance program now includes upgrades for two diesel units, the 104hp (105PS) 1.6-liter TDI that’s boosted to 123hp (125PS), and the 138hp (140PS) 2.0-liter that’s cranked up to 168hp (170PS).

The power pack for the petrol range lifts the 1.2-liter TSI from 104hp (105PS) to 138hp (140PS), the 1.4 TSI from 158hp (160PS) to 207hp (210PS) and the 2.0 TSI from 197hp (200PS) to 237hp (240PS).

Customers can further individualize their Beetles with a series of aerodynamic and styling add-ons such as a front spoiler, headlight covers and rear diffuser, together with a selection of alloy wheels in sizes up to 20-inches, sports exhaust systems and a 30mm suspension drop.
