Audi’s first ever “S” branded diesel model, the European market SQ5 (the North American version comes with a 349hp (354PS) 3.0-liter supercharged V6 gasoline unit), has fallen into the hands of VW Group tuning expert ABT Sportsline, which has developed a new styling and performance package.
We’ll start detailing the latter that introduces an engine kit boosting the oil burner’s output from 308hp (313PS) to 355hp (360PS) and peak torque from 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) to 700Nm (516 lb-ft). No word on how the upgrades affect the SQ5’s acceleration and top speed figures.
ABT then goes on to add different springs to lower the SUV’s riding height and a new set of lightweight alloy wheels (customers have a choice of 20- to 22-inches) wrapped in high performance rubber.
On the styling / aerodynamic front, the Germans have designed a kit that encompasses wheel arch extensions, new front bumper and grille assembly, rocker panels and rear bumper expansion parts.
