So, we’ve all seen and know by now why regular Russian drivers have fitted their cars with forward-looking dashboard cameras en masse, but what about passenger-viewing recording devices?
Well, these cameras are usually found on taxicabs (and police vehicles) for a very good reason, as you will soon see for yourself in this dramatic footage released by a driver who fell victim to a ruthless couple when the male passenger sitting in the back started bashing the taxi driver’s head with a rock!
Once the driver stopped and jumped out of the taxi, the couple stole his vehicle. According to the YouTube author, though, the two criminals were apprehended shortly after.
Here’s the video description translated from Russian:
“One of the taxi drivers drove Abakan young guy and girl in the neighboring village of Ust-Abakan. According to the Investigative Committee for BC, the taxi driver immediately alerted the fact that young people sat separately – the girl in the front seat, and her companion – the back, behind the driver. While driving, the guy took a stone, and struck the driver several times on the head. A taxi driver with his head smashed into the blood out of the car. Attackers tried to start a car and run away, but not in time. A passing criminal investigator at the Interior Ministry PX intercepted the fugitives in his car, pulled out from behind the wheel man and called the police.”
