We’ve been moaning for a while that automakers and the ad agencies that they hire lack imagination when it comes to their commercials. We’ve said time and time again that we don’t approve of copycat efforts mainly based on driving shots and fit, good looking men and women smiling like they’re on some kind of anti-depressant.
However, the ad we’ve posted below won’t be another one to go on our ‘not like’ list, because it’s actually quite good – it’s Audi’s very amusing attempt at promoting its Quattro all-wheel drive system using references to Herman Melville’s “Moby Dick” novel to emphasize its capability in all driving conditions.
