We don’t know if we should admire or take this female driver’s tenacity against a group of U.S. border patrol officers lightly and crack a smile at the whole situation that erupted when she refused to let them take a look into her car at a border checkpoint.
The woman was behind the wheel with her friend (or husband, we don’t know) filming the incident from the passenger seat. When the first officer comes over, he orders her to park her car in a designated area to which she replies, “No, are you detaining me? Am I free to go?”
The officer replies, “No you are not, you’re being detained”.
“Why are you detaining me?” asks the young woman. “Because we have suspicions that there might be criminal activities going on, so can you please park your car overt there?” responds the border patrol officer. “No, are you detaining me? Am I free to go?” says the woman again.
If you haven’t figured it out already, the same conversation continues more or less in the same tone for the next 14 or so minutes with a number of different officers, but at the end, she wins and is free to go!
