Our spies have recaptured the brand-new 2014 Hyundai i20 supermini testing out in the open, and this time, it has shed many parts of its camouflage allowing us a first partial glimpse of the car’s front and rear end designs.

Hyundai’s new hexagonal grille takes plenty of space up front together with the sharper and even more elongated headlamps, while at the back, it’s the more raked rear window and the bulging tail lights that capture our attention.

Another new styling element worth mentioning is the C-column, but it’s not clear from these pictures whether it will be blacked out, if there’s a window, or if it will be simply painted metal.

In Europe, there will be a selection of gasoline and diesel engines for the new and bigger in size i20, which is expected to begin arriving in showrooms late next year to go against the Renault Clio and Ford Fiesta.
