After showing two not very revealing teaser sketches (which you can find in the gallery below), Toyota has finally shown us what their Yaris Hybrid-R Concept will look like.

It’s a sporty, all-wheel drive concept which they say has its drivetrain based on that of the TS030 Le Mans Prototype (LMP) racer, though in this compact hatchback shape, it won’t make as much horsepower as the racing car but more than enough for its size.

According to the official press release that accompanied this latest sketch, it’s “based on an existing production model, and featuring a hybrid system that combines a low-capacity, high-power internal combustion engine with electric motors to give a combined maximum power output of more than 400 hp.”

Finally, they have announced it will be revealed at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show, on September 10. We’re curious as to what their intention is with this car – do they plan to develop a hybrid all-wheel drive road car based on its powertrain, or do they intend to enter some kind of racing series? Feel free to share your thoughts below.
